We are expanding!
The Craftsman is looking to open more sites locally soon, with a new flagship site in Leamington imminent.
And we need top quality people to help us expand and grow our business, and become part of our family.
The Craftsman is an independent café-bar built around great craft beer, coffee, cocktails, and food — all made with care and sourced from local artisan producers.
From morning coffees and brunches to evening beers and cocktails, our focus is on quality, atmosphere, and genuine hospitality.
With our original site in Warwick and our new flagship opening in Leamington Spa, we’re growing — and looking for friendly, passionate people to join our team.
See below some of the opportunities that we are currently recruiting for.
Bar Supervisor (Part-Time / Full-Time)
We’re The Craftsman – and we’re on the hunt for a Bar Supervisor to help run the show.
Location: Warwick (Leamington Spa possible opportunity later)
Reports to: Bar Manager / General Manager
Type: Part-time or full-time, permanent
The Role
You’ll be right at the heart of the action—leading shifts, keeping standards tight, and making sure every pint, plate, and flat white hits the mark.
This isn’t just “pulling pints.”
This is running a craft-led bar properly.
What You’ll Be Doing
Leading shifts and supporting the team day-to-day
Keeping service smooth, fast, and on point
Maintaining high standards across bar, floor, and customer experience
Opening / closing the venue with confidence
Supporting training and helping develop junior staff
Getting stuck into everything—from coffee in the morning to cocktails at night
What We’re Looking For
First things first—we hire personality over experience. Every time.
You can learn how to pour a pint or make a flat white.
You can’t teach energy, character, and presence.
We want someone who is:
- Confident and comfortable talking to anyone
- Full of personality—chatty, engaging, and brings good energy
- Smiley, upbeat, and naturally welcoming
- Outgoing and not afraid to get stuck in
- The kind of person customers remember (for the right reasons)
Experience is great—but it’s not essential.
If you’ve got the right attitude, we’ll teach you the rest.
That said, you should still:
- Be reliable and switched on
- Handle pressure without losing your head (or your smile)
- Take pride in doing things properly
Bonus points if you:
- Love hospitality (or think you might)
- Have an interest in craft beer, coffee, or cocktails
What You Get
- Competitive pay (based on experience)
- Tips + staff perks
- Real progression opportunities (we’re growing—fast)
- A proper team environment (no corporate nonsense)
- Input into how we do things—your voice matters here
Hours
- Part-time or full-time available
- Mix of day, evening, and weekend shifts

Area General Manager
The Craftsman Café Bar Group
Location: Leamington Spa (with regional oversight of Warwick & future sites)
Type: Full-time, permanent
Reports to: Owners / Directors
About The Craftsman
The Craftsman is an independent café-bar born from a love of craft beer, great coffee, artisan food, and local collaboration. What started as one site in Warwick has grown into a brand that celebrates independent producers, quality ingredients, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere from morning coffee through to evening cocktails.
We’re now opening our new flagship in Leamington Spa — a bigger, bolder version of what we do best — and we’re looking for an experienced Area General Manager to lead it, support our Warwick site, and help shape future openings across the region as we grow further.
The Role
As Area General Manager, you’ll take full responsibility for operational leadership, commercial performance, and team development across our venues.
This is both a hands-on AND strategic role — ideal for someone who loves being on the floor with guests and staff, but can also step back to build systems, train managers, and drive growth.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the management and front-of-house teams at Leamington, ensuring daily operations run smoothly and standards stay consistently high.
- Oversee multiple sites — supporting Warwick’s established team and ensuring a shared Craftsman culture, brand standards, and supplier relationships.
- Drive performance: control budgets, stock, wages, and profitability, using KPIs and sound commercial awareness.
- Recruit, train, and inspire — building future leaders as we expand into new venues.
- Champion The Craftsman ethos: artisan, independent, and proudly local — from coffee beans and beers to food and suppliers.
- Collaborate with ownership on menu development, marketing campaigns, and systems that scale sustainably.
- Act as brand ambassador, ensuring every guest experience reflects the warmth and craft that define The Craftsman.
About You
You’ll be both a people leader and a business operator — able to blend genuine hospitality with commercial nous and operational discipline.
You’ll likely have:
- Experience as a General Manager or Multi-Site Manager within hospitality (premium casual dining, café-bar, or independent group background ideal).
- Strong financial and operational management skills (GP, wage %, rotas, and cost control).
- Proven ability to lead teams, recruit talent, and create a culture of accountability and pride.
- A love for quality food, coffee, craft beer, and cocktails, and a belief in supporting local producers.
- Energy, creativity, and the ability to handle the fast pace of multi-site growth.
- A desire to grow with an independent brand that’s going places.
- Good weekend and evening availability
What’s in it for you
- Competitive salary, share of tips + performance bonus structure
- Real opportunity to shape the next phase of The Craftsman’s expansion
- Autonomy to implement your ideas and make a tangible impact
- Staff meals, discounts, and perks across all sites
- Supportive, owner-led family business culture that values passion, professionalism, and personality
If you’re a hospitality leader who thrives on autonomy, quality, and genuine craft, we’d love to meet you.

As a Front of House Team Member, you’ll be part of the heartbeat of The Craftsman. You’ll deliver brilliant customer service, create a welcoming atmosphere, and help guests feel right at home — whether they’re grabbing a morning flat white, sharing small plates over beers, or celebrating with cocktails.

- Serve food, drinks, coffee, and cocktails confidently and accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and inviting bar and floor area.

- Interested in quality food and drink — craft beer, coffee, cocktails, local produce.
- Reliable, positive, and comfortable in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Team players who can also work independently and take initiative.
- Keen to learn — we’ll provide full training on beer styles, coffee service, food menu, and cocktail basics.
Experience in hospitality or bar work is an advantage, but not essential — personality and attitude matter more.
What We Offer
- Competitive hourly pay + tips
- Training in beer, coffee, cocktails, and customer service
- Staff meals and discounts
- Opportunities to work across both The Craftsman sites (Warwick & Leamington)
- Genuine progression opportunities as we expand — barista, bartender, supervisor, or manager
